A museum town, Buscemi
retains the group of houses of a troglodyte settlement reminding us of the
ancient origins of the town. We can visit authentic workplaces from the
Casa ro massaru (typical house of a local proprietor) to the putia ro firraru
(the blacksmith's ), the ro iurnaturu (house of the farmworker), the olive
press (u trappitu), the cobbler's, (a putia ro scarparu) to that of the
jugmender. All this along an itinerary dotted with magnificent churches
and suggestive piazze.
